ALPS Mountaineering, a small company located in rural east central Missouri, was started in 1994 with the mission of "providing more gear for more people". They offer performance oriented packs, tents, sleeping bags, & furniture with consumer designs for comfortable enjoyable trips that have tough, durable construction for a lifetime guarantee. The owner, Dennis Brune, has been designing, selling, marketing, and sourcing outdoor products since 1978. For 16 years he worked for ARP, the parent company of Kelty, Sierra Designs, Slumberjack, and Wenzel, spending the last 8-10 years running the Kelty brand. He has assembled a staff of other "industry veterans" to assist him in developing the ALPS Mountaineering brand.
